Crystal and Jason celebrated their wedding spanning to two Saturdays in March. This was the last wedding that we photographed in Pasadena before all the stay-at-home order in California.

According to the Bride: “Our wedding in Pasadena was a beautiful blend of three cultures. We wanted to embrace both our Chinese and Cambodian worlds with a modern twist. The color theme was a spring palette of mauve, ivory, and gold. We decided to split our wedding into two separate days, which would have been over 14 hours long. A traditional Cambodian wedding is also 3 days long. We planned our traditional Chinese tea ceremony on March 1st and the western ceremony and reception, incorporating a Cambodian Blessing Dance the following weekend on March 7th. The Blessing Dance is very popular in the modern world. The Blessing Dance is performed to bless the bride and groom to live happily together as husband and wife. The dancers depict angels descending from heaven, gracefully casting flowers to the bride and groom to give blessings for good health, love & prosperity.
The florals paired well with our color theme. The florist used white hydrangea, Vendela, a few pink Mondial roses, peach spray roses, white lisianthus, lemon leaves, dusty miller, and Italian Ruscus, silver dollar, Queen Ann lace, and cattails throughout the centerpieces, bouquets, arch, and sweetheart table. My favorite piece was definitely the sweetheart table and arch.”
